Booking a retreat, clearly.
The agreement between you and Alethia when you book a seat on one of our open retreats.
1 · Your seat
Every retreat is an intimate circle, with a fixed number of seats. When you continue to payment, your seat is held for you for about half an hour while you pay on Stripe's secure page. Your booking is confirmed, and this agreement begins, the moment your payment is confirmed. You then receive a confirmation by email, with your booking reference.
One booking holds one seat, in the name and email of the person attending. If you are booking for someone else, please use their own details.
2 · The price and what it includes
The price per person is shown before you pay and charged in euros. What it includes is described with each retreat (for example: all experiences and hospitality). Travel to and from the retreat is not included unless stated. Where a retreat's investment is announced personally, you request a seat first, and pay only once you have received and accepted the details.
3 · Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own page and never reach us. If you pay by bank debit, your seat stays held until the payment clears; if it fails, the seat is released and we will let you know.
4 · If you need to cancel
Please write to us as soon as you know. Our schedule:

Retreats take place on fixed dates. Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, article 16(l)), the general 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services on a specific date; the schedule above is our own, more generous commitment.
5 · If we need to change or cancel
If a retreat must be cancelled by us, you choose between a full refund and a seat on another retreat. If a significant part of the programme or place must change, we tell you at once and you may cancel for a full refund. We are not responsible for travel or other costs you have booked separately, which is why we recommend flexible tickets and travel insurance. Where events beyond anyone's control (such as severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic or official restrictions) prevent a retreat, we offer a new date or a credit first, and a refund where the law requires.
6 · Your wellbeing
The retreats include walking at ancient sites, sound, breath and meditative practice. They are not medical or psychological treatment and do not replace it. Please tell us in confidence about any health condition, pregnancy or medication that could matter, and ask your doctor if you are unsure. You may step out of any practice at any moment.
7 · Travel and insurance
You are responsible for your passport, visas, travel and travel insurance, which we strongly recommend, including cancellation cover.
8 · The circle
What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. We ask every guest to respect the privacy of the others, the sacred sites and their guardians, and the guidance of the team. We may ask a guest whose conduct endangers others or the site to leave, without refund. Photographs of guests are taken or shared only with their agreement.
9 · Responsibility
We take great care in everything we prepare. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Otherwise, our responsibility is limited to the price you paid for the retreat.
10 · The law
These terms are governed by Greek law. If you live in another country of the European Union, you keep the protection of the consumer laws of your country. We always prefer to resolve any concern personally: write to letters@alethia-official.com.
